FSA was curious to hear my thoughts on the Pro-Wing AGX handlebar, so they sent one over for testing. Given the amount of time I spend riding and writing about gear, they wanted to know how this gravel-specific bar would perform in a variety of real-world conditions, and if it would suit the demands of longer rides and bikepacking setups. Naturally, I was happy to take it for a spin—literally.
About FSA
FSA (Full Speed Ahead) has long been a staple in the world of high-performance cycling components. With decades of experience across road, MTB, and gravel disciplines, they’ve built a solid reputation for innovation and reliability. Their AGX (Adventure Gravel Cross) line specifically targets the needs of riders who don’t stick to smooth pavement, and who value comfort and control just as much as speed.
The Pro-WING AGX

The Pro-Wing AGX Loop Alloy Handlebar is a meticulously engineered component tailored for gravel and adventure cycling. Constructed from durable aluminum, it features a bead-blasted anodized black finish that resists wear and corrosion. The handlebar boasts a 25° flare, providing enhanced control and stability on rough terrains. Its dimensions include a 100mm drop and a 70mm reach, facilitating an ergonomic riding posture. The integrated U-shape extensions offer additional hand positions, reducing fatigue during extended rides and improving compatibility with front-mounted bags. Available in widths of 420mm, 440mm, and 460mm, and with a clamp diameter of 31.8mm, the handlebar accommodates various rider preferences. Weighing approximately 380 grams for the 420mm model, it strikes a balance between strength and weight, making it an excellent choice for long-distance gravel adventures .
Testing
Over the course of about 500 km of riding, I put the Pro-Wing AGX through a mix of gravel roads, forest trails, long pavement stretches, and some loaded test rides. What stood out most was the comfort—especially during longer outings. The shape of the tops and the angle of the drops make it easy to settle in, while the wider stance gives a boost in confidence on technical descents. I also recommend pairing it with a stem-mounted computer mount; placing the computer off the bar keeps things cleaner and prevents any interference with your hand position, especially in the drops.
In conclusion
After putting in those kilometers, I can confidently say the Pro-Wing AGX impressed me. It strikes a great balance between control, comfort, and a clean aesthetic. For those looking to dial in their cockpit for adventure, this bar is a strong contender. It’s earned a permanent spot on my bikepacking rig.
