In a relatively short amount of time, Oaxaca has come to be known as a world-class mountain biking destination. Itโs not just the trails and richness in culture that draws people in; itโs the incredible sense of community and hospitality from the people of Oaxaca.
“Build with Purpose” follows three individuals โ Carlos Hernรกndez (Coyote Aventuras), Israel Carrillo(Kona Ambassador and trail advocate), and Cody Wilkins (Kona Ambassador and Director of RAD Trails) โ who are inspired by the passion and dedication of Oaxacan riders and trail builders. Together, they work alongside the Ixtepeji trail builders to extend a gesture of gratitude by creating a progression area that meets the growing demand for higher skill levels.ย
By sharing what theyโve learned through years of their own trail building, they empower the locals to continue progressing the sport in their area. After working tirelessly on the project, the team shares the ultimate reward of any trail project: the experience of riding with friends and the community that made it all possible
