Mountain Hardwear represents a company I’ve been particularly fond of for several years now. I discovered this company when I was starting to practice more outdoor sports, particularly rock climbing. When I first started out, I didn’t pay much attention to what I wore. But I quickly realized the importance of dressing in technical, quality clothing, designed specifically for the sports I practice. Here I’d like to introduce you to Mountain Hardwear’s AP active pants, which are both technical and comfortable for everyday wear.
About Mountain Hardwear
Founded in 1993, Mountain Hardwear โโCreate performance apparel and equipment to empower outdoor athletes to live boldly.โโ Using exclusive high-quality materials and technologies, Mountain Hardwear manufactures products that meet the needs of outdoor enthusiasts. They want to encourage people to live richly adventurous experiences and develop the feeling of enjoying life to the fullest. All this, with the proper equipment.
AP Active Pants
Offered in five various colors, mine are Moab Tan, the Men’s Hardwear AP Active pants represent a big seller for the company. Made from durable stretch nylon fabric, they are ideal for rock climbing, camping, backpacking or hiking.
What I enjoy about these pants; they’re comfortable and stretchy. It’s easy to move around in them, bending over, climbing, etc. My mobility is good when I wear them. They have a small side pocket for a knife. I always handle one with me when exploring. Whether I’m hiking or exploring with my camper, I love having my little knife right on me!
As well as being extremely comfortable, the fabric is abrasion-resistant. Therefore, I think they’ll last a long time. I don’t possess an incredible quantity of pants in my wardrobe, because the pants I do buy, like Mountain Hardwear, are of high quality and offer great durability.
There’s only one thing I would have modified about these pants. Unfortunately, I find the side pockets shallow. My cell phone doesn’t fit completely in those pockets. I own another model of Mountain Hardwear pants, the AP pants, and the pocket design is different. They are deeper and allow me to store more things. On the other hand, I appreciate the fact that the back pocket closes with a little zipper. I can put personal belongings in there, without worrying about it falling out.
To conclude
Once again, Mountain Hardwear offers us an excellent pair of pants that perfectly suits my lifestyle as an outdoor enthusiast. At Mountain Hardwear they believe outdoor enthusiasts are all athletes. They want to ensure their products are high-quality, robust, durable and, above all, comfortable. So, each and every one of us โโwhether 8,000-meter climbers or weekend hikers, we all aspire to better physical outdoor experiences.” They are listed at a price of $120 CAD; a price that I find reasonable for a product in this range.
