About Fjällräven
Founded in the small town of Örnsköldsvik in Sweden, Fjällräven is an outdoor clothing and equipment company. Now definitively established in the outdoor field, specifically trekking and hiking, Fjällräven committed to making nature more accessible. Their focus on simplicity, practicality, and utmost respect for the environment sets them apart.
Abisko Trekking Shirt for Women
This beautiful, lightweight and technical trekking shirt is designed for outdoor adventures. Even if it is just a shirt, many features make it a great outdoor partner. Here are the most important:
- The comfort: This shirt is so lightweight! It is produced with a ventilating stretch fabric composed of 84% recycled polyester and 16% elastane. It is soft, and the fabric feels great against the skin. It will protect you from the sun but it’s so comfortable and light that it doesn’t make you feel too hot.
- The size: Usually, in the Fjällräven brand, I find the sizes smaller than the American brands. However, with the Abisko model, the sizes are more realistic and less adjusted. The fit is more regular, and this allows a greater range of movement. The fabric is stretchy, so it’s very comfortable on the move. The slightly longer cut at the back ensures excellent coverage.
- Breathability: The ventilating stretch fabric keeps you cool and wicks away moisture, making it ideal for warm weather during hikes or treks. I can only repeat it… This shirt is so LIGHT!
- Functionality: The shirt closes with a sturdy, yet easy-to-use press stud. There are two possible cuff adjustments. There is also one zippered front pocket with mesh lining, to secure your additional stuff.
To conclude
In summary, the Abisko Trekking Shirt combines style, functionality and eco-consciousness. Whether you’re hitting the trails or exploring the outdoors, it’s a reliable companion! Three colors are available, Dusty Rose, Patina Green and Dark Navy (mine).
If you want to know what Abisko means, it’s in fact a village in Sápmi (Lapland) located in northern Sweden, approximately 200 kilometers north of the Arctic Circle.
