My Journey to the Race Across Quebec: The 325 km Race Report

My plan was simple: carry everything I needed on the bike, food, liquids, and essentials,to minimize stops along the way. Of course, sometimes nature has its own plan, but with plenty of convenience stores on the course, we always had reliable options if needed. The strategy worked well overall, but I realized that having a “real” meal earlier would have helped me sustain even higher energy levels. Despite quick stops for food and the occasional Coca Cola fix, I only took the time to eat a proper sandwich with about 100 km and 1000 m of climbing left. It was the right choice at that moment, but next time I will refine this part of my strategy.

For anyone considering it, the Race Across Québec is more than just a challenge. It is an unforgettable experience that will stay with you long after the finish line. If you are looking for a true cycling challenge that combines endurance, community, and unforgettable scenery, this is the perfect event to discover what you are capable of.

Ever since he can remember he was riding bikes not being attracted to video games. In his teenage years he was racing bikes until he had a big accident that slowed him down and at a certain point he stopped riding. It is few years later that came he back on a bike and got the ‘’bug’’ again to be more serious about it and started a bike related blog. It is after a trip during covid that he realized that it would be great to talk about all his outdoor passions but with the perspective to inform the regular non technical people. This is how Allday magazine was born.
