It seems like I have always kept a cooler in my stuff. In either case, it was for camping or cycling races, or to simply bring cold beer to a friend’s house. The thing I always hated was the fact that it took a lot of places in my truck for most of the time…nothing. This is until Yeti contacted me to test their new Backpack soft cooler.
About Yeti
In 2006, YETI Coolers was founded with a simple mission: build the cooler you’d use every day if it existed.
But the coolers available at the time just weren’t up to their outdoor adventures. The handles would break, the latches would snap off, and the lids would cave in. Not only was it a hassle to replace our coolers after each season, but also these cheaply built, ordinary ice chests were limiting our good times. And that frustration led them to a solution.
The Yeti M12 backpack soft cooler
This comfortable easy-to-open (and stay open) cooler was designed to fit wine bottles and hold up to 20 cans of 355 ml of your favorite beverage for days in the summer sun.
Attach accessories such as the Rambler Bottle sling or Sidekick dry great case to the Hitchpoint grid for even more hands-free function. The MagShield technology uses a strip of durable, ultra-strong magnets that keeps your cooler closed and leak-resistant. And the kangaroo pocket lets you easily stash aways keys, a wallet, or phone so you can get going.
Testing
The testing occurred over a month period while doing hiking and fat biking. The bag is comfortable in multiple situations and is stable too even when fully loaded. The Kangaroo pocket is really practical when you want to bring accessories and keep them dry. You can also secure your favorite allday magazine camping mug using the Hitchpoint grid.
In conclusion
I really like the M12 backpack soft cooler and I can now carry cold food and beverages to places I could not easily go before which is awesome. I think that Yeti has hit a great market segment with that product and I certainly made friends jealous.
The price of 380.00$ cad could stop a few people but keep in mind that a Yeti product is most certainly for life.
