As a gravel rider, I always have a few events circled on the calendar, those that test my limits, push my endurance, and promise unforgettable experiences. This year, one of those events is the OG Classique UCI Gravel World series, taking place in Wakefield, Québec on June 20 and 21, 2026.
The OG Classique is not your average weekend ride. With multiple distances ranging from 34 km to 124 km, it weaves riders through the stunning Gatineau Hills, over legendary climbs, and across unique features like the iconic Paugan Dam crossing. The courses demand focus, strategy, and heart, testing both fitness and bike-handling skills.

For me, the weekend carries extra significance as I will be trying to qualify for the UCI Gravel World Championships in Australia. That adds another layer of intensity, requiring me to push for both performance and completion. Racing against some of the best gravel riders in the world is as thrilling as it is humbling.
But the OG Classique is more than just a race. It is a celebration of gravel culture, bringing together riders from across Canada and beyond. It is a chance to share stories, swap tips, and embrace the camaraderie that only comes from tackling tough trails together. The mix of challenge, scenery, and community is what makes gravel riding so addictive, and events like this capture it perfectly.
In the months leading up to the weekend, I am focused on fine-tuning my training, preparing my bike, and mentally gearing up for every climb, corner, and stretch of gravel. No matter the outcome, I know it will be an experience to remember and a true test of endurance, determination, and passion for gravel riding.
Stay tuned to Allday Magazine for updates, insights, and reflections from the OG Classique. This is gravel riding at its finest, and I cannot wait to take it all on.
